All Countertops
Hot pans and heat producing appliances may cause discoloration or cracking. If the pan is too hot to touch with your hand, do not put it directly onto your countertop – use a cutting board or similar protective shield underneath.
- Always use a cutting board instead of cutting directly on the countertop surface.
- Wipe up staining foods and liquids immediately. This will make clean up much easier.
- Do not expose counters or cabinets to harsh chemicals such as paint remover, turpentine or nail polish remover. Harsh chemicals will harm the finish.
- Do not place heat or steam producing appliances directly under upper cabinets. Steam and heat can affect the finish of wood doors and the seal of the thermofoil doors.
